- Verify Your Business: Choose a verification method (phone, email, postcard, etc.) to confirm your ownership. Once verified, you can fully manage the listing through your GBP Manager dashboard.
How To Request Access To An Existing Google Business Profile (GBP)
If someone else, such as a team member or your marketing agency, has already ‘claimed’ a Google Business Profile (GBP) for your business, you’ll need to initiate a process to request access to the profile.
Here’s how to request access to a managed Google Business Profile:
- Navigate to the Create Page: Go to the Google Business Profile Create page and search for your business, selecting it from the drop-down menu.
- Request Access: If the listing is managed by another email, click “Request Access.” If it’s your email but inaccessible, use Google’s Account Recovery.
- Complete the Access Form: Fill out the form with your details and submit. The current manager will have three days to respond to your request.
